The Greater Hartford, CT club, chartered on November 19, 1938,  holds the distinction of being the first club chartered in the Northeastern Region. We extend a warm welcome to the latest and newest club in the region, Greater Providence, RI! We hope to have many more charter parties in the future.

The Northeastern Region is one of 28 regions of Soroptimist International of the Americas. Soroptimist International is the world's largest classified service organization for executive and professional women. Our Region Board of Directors consist of a Governor, Governor-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, 2 Directors and the immediate past Governor. Elections are held every two years. Roberts Rules of Order are observed in voting procedures at all region business meetings and conferences. Our Region Bylaws were updated on 4/1/06 at our Spring Conference.
